Toby Kearney - outstanding young musician

20 05 2006

As the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition completes another two year cycle - we have just witnessed an outstandingly vibrant and supremely musical performance from Toby Kearney - young musician of Shropshire.

Toby began percussion lessons with the Shropshire Music Service whilst attending Meole Brace School and later Shrewsbury Sixth Form College. He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra for the past 2 years and we were all delighted when he won the BBC young musican percussion finals.

Well done Toby.
